Welcome
I'm a photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. I have shot a variety of projects, including portraits, fine art landscapes and product photography for businesses. I have also shot motorsports for something a little more challenging.
In my spare time, I'm currently working on a timelapse series of New Zealand having recently included Lake Tekapo and Aoraki (Mount Cook) to the list.

There have been many occasions where the day after a shoot I've been almost unable to walk.
There is no gym work out that can match a full day shooting a car. Weddings are similar. Back when I shot those too, I had to clear the next day on my calendar. Not only for sleep but usually because my legs were pretty much useless. Cars are an especially good workout though, I'm not sure even the most keen cross-fitter could keep up with a photographer on a full day shoot for a car. The constant getting up and down to get the angles and lighting is good for the muscles!
So when Mike showed me this photo he took while I was shooting a 1990 R32 GTR Skyline, my first thought was 'this is going to hurt tomorrow'.
But you get used to the ridiculous angles you need to contort yourself into. You also get used to moving quickly and fortunately the boys were able to move the car pretty quick too because we turned around just in time to see the sunset do this...
